Laugh Every Day

The blog I wrote in tribute to my husband provoked a conversation where he  shared some of the beliefs he lives by and I felt that they could serve all of us in the written form. Here is what he wrote in regards to reading yesterday's post. Enjoy.

And now a "shout out" back to my lovely wife.  She surprised me yesterday with her blog topic and I was very humbled by her comments. There is no question that having a good sense of humor has served me well and I use it everyday. Shawna has always said, that no one's glass is as half-full as mine. I know this has drove her crazy at times, as you can imagine!

Here are some thoughts that I live by:

* The crazier the situation you find yourself in, the better the story will be after you survive it.

* No matter how bad things are, they can always be worse....and when things really get bad, remember that they can always be worse.

* Always ask yourself, "what's the worst thing that can happen?" You will find that once you play this scenario out, it will almost never be as bad as you imagine.

* Do not take things personally.

* Nothing positive ever comes from worrying about things...nothing!

* Things are neither good, nor bad...life does not discriminate and throw good and bad things at us. We create our experiences by our reactions and subsequent actions.

Take responsibility for your life; enjoy the ride and find the humour, every day.
